Anthony Davila is not a career politician but has a strong passion to serve. Currently, his passion has inspired him to represent his community in District 9. Anthony Davila believes that leadership should be based on the needs of the people within local community/state levels and not any political party affiliation or special interest groups.
The culture of our local government must change. We have elected officials that prioritize profits, self-preservation, and special interests over people and others. Residents have longed to have any rights or say in the development of the city. Currently, we have a reactive regime type of local government, instead of a proactive community involved approach. We are still fighting for things that we have been talking about since 2009. Issues such as housing, healthcare, violent crimes, pollution, traffic congestion, mental health, opioid addiction, and education have been progressively getting worse, not better. These issues are not by chance, but by failing systematic policies, and that starts on a local government level. We must have checks and balances. We must have accountability and self-responsibility with our local leaders.
Anthony Davila has a Masters in Homeland Security with Honors from American Military University, and a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Sacred Heart University. Additionally, he has two books published focusing on law enforcement: Terrorist response and Police service to the community.
Anthony Davila fills his time with family, veteran events and of continued service with volunteering with youth programs as the perfect way of giving back to a career choice in military and law enforcement services, and the many opportunities it gave him over the years. Providing leadership, mentoring, serving as a role model of integrity, dignity, and respect.
Anthony Davila is currently retired from law enforcement with over 20 years of service within municipal, local, and Federal levels.
Anthony Davila also honorably served with the US Navy as a Coxswain, Master at Arms 1st Class. Been called to military duty for the following campaigns: Dessert Storm, Global War on Terrorism, Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.
